Meet the Breeders

Hi, I’m Josie! Welcome to our site, and thanks for taking a moment to learn more about me and our breeding program.

A Little About Me

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had a passion for them for as long as I can remember!

Outside of breeding, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, especially cuddling with the dogs, as well as hiking, reading, and working out. I’m also a Special Education teacher and NCAA umpire, so my life stays pretty busy!

Our Breeding Program

At Charming Country Poodles, we truly are a family business! My husband, Wiley, and I raise three of the Standard Poodles in our program—Meeka, Maggie, and Monte. My mom raises Maverick and Maui, and my aunt raises our male, Scout.

Having our dogs spread throughout our family allows them to be loved, cared for, and treated as family members every day. Our dogs are not simply breeding dogs—they are a part of our lives and our family.

We believe that raising happy, well-adjusted puppies starts with providing them with plenty of love, structure, consistency, and positive experiences from the very beginning.

Well-Traveled, Well-Loved

Our dogs go everywhere with us! From trips to the Fort Worth Stockyards, days at the beach, and adventures in the North Carolina mountains, our dogs are included in our everyday lives and our travels. We believe these experiences help our dogs become confident, well-socialized companions who are comfortable experiencing new places, people, and environments.
